Thank you Fantasy Football!

So yes, I am a Chiefs fan! Yes I know how bad the chiefs stink. They have lost 28 of their last 30 games. The Chiefs last win against a non-divisional team was October 14th, 2007... Hold on I just threw up a little bit in my mouth. This past off-season they traded for Matt Cassel and Mike Vrabel, I rejoiced and said "yes we are finally rebuilding." Then two weeks later they traded my all time favorite player Tony Gonzalez, I cried for three days.

Luckily last year my friend Matt turned me on to Fantasy Football (Que cheesy heaven music) Well, needless to say because I am so amazing... a.k.a.... LUCKY, I picked some great players and won the league. Before you applaud too loud let's really break it down, I had Adrian Petterson. I also had Aaron Rodgers, Thomas Jones, Tony Gonzalez, so I was pretty stacked. This made the year so much better for me. Instead of trying to root for a team that was guaranteed to lose, I could cheer for Adrian Petterson, and Thomas Jones. It made every game interesting. It opens your eyes to other players around the league. Don't know what I would do without Fantasy Football, probablly pull out all my hair watching the CHIEFS LOSE WEEK AFTER WEEK.... Oh wait I already did that.

This year has been the same as last year. I needed a football distraction from the Chiefs red, that red is them bleeding all over the field. Last week I knew the Chiefs were going to lose... And I was almost ok with it.... Does that make me a bad fan?

I got the power!

As the NFL goes into week 6 there are two teams that have shocked everyone. The reason we love the NFL is because we analyze all off-season, and speculate how good and bad a team will be. Well, after week one that can all go away.

Going into the season, the Denver Broncos were supposed to be at the bottom looking up. People were saying the the Chargers had the AFC West locked up. Wait the Broncos did fire a future Hall of Fame and Super Bowl champion coach. Then there was that little thing when they traded away a Pro-Bowl caliber quarterback for KYLE ORTON. Combined with the third worst defense in the league some would say they are moving into a rebuilding year. Now after the immaculate deflection, and Brandon Marshall catching and running with ease, the Broncos are 5-0... WHAT? O and Kyle Orton has a 97.4 passer rating, better than his predecessor Jay Cutler 89.3. They also have the best defense in the NFL, allowing only 7 points in the second half all year. The Broncos have just beat the Cowboys and the Patriots, if they can find a way to win in San Diego they will be playing for home field advantage.

The next team that has surprised everyone are the Tennessee Titans. This is supposed to be a Super Bowl caliber team. A team with a two head monster running game in Chris Johnson and LenDale White. They had the 2nd best defense in the league last year, and Kerry Collins was looking like a 38 year old vet in his prime. This year they are horrible! Turning the ball over, they can't find the endzone, and Collins is looking like the almost 37 year old man he is... Sorry Titans fans it's gonna be a long winter.

Welcome!

Welcome to my blog for the common sports fan.

On this blog you will find my ranting on a wide variety of topics, all sport related. I have my favorite teams just like any other person, however beyond this I love sports. I can sit and talk for hours with someone about any team, and any sport. So if you're like me and love to talk sports then you have found your constituency. We will discuss and sometimes even argue about what we love... Sports!
